52 Million Tons of Plastic Waste Pollutes Yearly!

The latest study by scientists found that around 52 million tons of plastic waste enters the environment every year around the world. The biggest polluters are developing countries in Africa and Asia.
"We have a new global picture of the extent of plastic pollution - how much of it ends up in the environment. We estimate that around 52 million tons of plastic, which is considered solid household waste, actually ends up in the environment," said Professor Costas Velis of the University of Leeds.

1.2 billion people worldwide do not have access to solid waste collection services and are forced to throw away or incinerate plastic. The biggest "sinner" is the capital of Nigeria, Lagos, followed by New Delhi, Luanda and Karachi.

If we cannot directly detect the damage of improperly burned waste, then the discarded synthetic materials create unpleasant sights in many places around the world, including the ocean.

The potential impact of microplastics on human health is also currently in the focus of scientists' attention. Therefore, any way to solve the problem deserves attention, including producing new products from waste.

For example, in Egypt, where 4.5 million tons of plastic are thrown away every year, a company produces tiles from it. The technology makes it possible to create about 40 products from waste, including bricks and furniture.
In order to improve waste sorting, especially for multi-apartment houses - we recommend using the waste container sheds produced by us. Check out the constructions in our gallery!
